Worship at Trinity
When you're ready, we're here.
As a community of worship and healing, Trinity is a house of prayer for all people; we invite those with little or no faith to join our common pilgrimage toward health and wholeness.
Just how are we called together?
one, holy, catholic, apostolic church ... one = not divided by artificial means or harmful criteria; a single unit. i.e., an apple which is not cut into pieces by a dividing knife; a circle not divided by means of measurement. holy = an esteem judgement as pertaining to God-like qualities or human estimation of pertaining to an experience as having transcendent properties. i.e., an act consecrated to God such a declaration of forgiveness by a person to whom harm has been done, for the person doing the harm; extending loving mercy and dignity to all human beings. catholic = universal; all-embracing, diversified. i.e., a group of people with wide-ranging criteria held together by a core belief; a classification of being such as mammals, amphibians, humans. apostolic = pertaining to the first followers who were sent out on a mission (of the Christ). i.e., continually trying to discern as a group how to tell the world about the Good News of the Christ to Love God and Love one another as Jesus loved us. church = assembly; all Christians. Let us continue in the assembly and the breaking of the bread in order to go into the world rejoicing, in the power of the Spirit. Let us take all that we are and all we've been taught and hold it against the only criteria we understand to be through Jesus' teachings, and make this world a kinder, gentler, more unified assemblage in which to live as friend and stranger. Let us walk gently but knowingly into the world that may not understand the wide range, being sure that the reason for loving the people is because God first loves us. Then, let us, to the best of our abilities, just love them as we love ourselves. |
children.together at 9:00 a.m, Sundays
Specifically designed with 0-7 year-olds in mind, this half-hour service helps engage children in story, song and prayer while helping to develop their sense of God. The service includes singing, a gospel story, interactive prayers, and communion. Children (and parents/caregivers!) are invited to sit on the floor to experience the service firsthand, and participate in many aspects of the service by carrying the processional cross, assisting with serving communion, and offering their own prayers of intercession. Happy chatter and joyful wiggles are most welcome! Go to the home page to click and join in on Zoom worship on Sundays. Sunday Mornings at 10:30 a.m Anchored with Scripture and Holy Communion (a.k.a. Eucharist or Last Supper) all gather around the common Table of hope, grief and joy. This mind, is attended by a variety of folks who appreciate the lively music of contemporary praise interspersed with traditional hymns and the reverent cadence of Anglican chant, the swaying movement of a Negro spiritual and the quiet meditative response of a piano solo after the sermon. Recognizing that God created all of us, and respecting the dignity of every soul, you will find a peace that moves your spirit and speaks to your heart. Sit in silence, sing, pray, listen and receive God's grace and purpose with others on the journey of faith. Children of all ages are welcome as we participate in the Baptismal covenant, “will you be responsible for seeing that this child is brought up in the Christian faith and life?” Or, there is a child activity corner to keep restless hands occupied as the message soaks in through sight and sound. All worship is followed by a time of food and fellowship for folks to share stories, catch up, meet new faces or just refresh and let God speak through our neighbors. This is the time to make deeper connection and build the community your spirit longs for. Go to the home page to click and join on Sundays Our doors are open to all. You are welcome to bring your children, your partner, your curious mind and uncertainties, your voice for singing and your enthusiasm to know God better. |
