Our Mission at Trinity Memorial Church
Our mission is to reflect God’s love in ourselves and in the world. We seek:
- To worship God together through word, prayer, song, and sacrament
- To bring those of all ages toward a deeper understanding of faith through care and education
- To work actively in the community to satisfy the physical and spiritual needs of our neighbors
- To grow as a community, to know each other, to pray for each other, and to reach out to each other in tangible acts of love and concern
Who We Are
We are part of the neighborhood, drawing people from next door, around the corner and from surrounding suburbs; whatever draws you to the corner of 22nd and Spruce you will find a place where you can encounter God with each other.
If you were brought up in a church tradition and just moved into the neighborhood … welcome. If you are not quite sure what you believe but think God has been calling you … welcome. If the journey has been difficult lately, we are here for refreshment. If you are looking for a place to stop in to give thanks, Trinity is a sacred space in the middle of a changing neighborhood.
Members of Trinity work side by side with neighbors. Inside the historic buildings you will find a flexible space that serves many purposes from worship to fundraising, from concerts to nursery school to a homeless shelter.
Whether we come to work or sit and listen, to teach or learn, to seek answers or to rest, we gather. We welcome all who desire to seek God to move their spirit. Faith is a journey; welcome.
Services on Sunday find us gathered around the common Table of one Bread and Cup as we come for solace and strength, for pardon and renewal.
As the spiritual center of Trinity at 22nd, Trinity Memorial has served as a house of worship and community resource for more than 140 years.
